PITTSBURGH, PA - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series makes its first ever appearance at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway for the running of the "17th Annual Pittsburgher 100" on September 16 - 18.  The 100 lap "Pittsburgher 100" on Sunday, September 18th will pay $22,000 to win and $1000 to start and will be taped fro broadcast by ESPN2.  The event will be aired at a date and time to be announced.  This will not be a live presentation.  ESPN2 is currently seen in 90 million households nationwide.


The activities will get underway on Friday, September 16 with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and E-Mod practice from 6:30 to 8 PM.  Included in the Friday night program will be specials for the Pure Stocks and the Amateur Stocks. 


On Saturday, September 17, pit gates will open at 11:00 AM, and general admission gates at 12 noon with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Oval Craft Racing Aluminum Designs Time Trials and VP Fuels Makin' Power Heat Races beginning at 4:00 PM.  Also on the Saturday race card will be a special race program for the E-Modifieds. 


Then on Sunday, September 18 beginning at 5:00 PM will be the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Mason Racin' Rebel Shock Dyno and PPM Racing Products B-Mains followed by the 100 lap 17th Annual "Pittsburgher 100."  Gates open Sunday at 11:00 AM and there will be a driver autograph session comprised of the top ten Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Drivers as well as several other top competitors who all will be vying for the $22,000 payday waiting for the winner of the 17th Annual "Pittsburgher 100".
