PPMS Announces New Sponsorship Program to Support Drivers and Local Businesses
IMPERIAL, PA – Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) is thrilled to announce an exciting new sponsorship initiative aimed at giving back to the heart and soul of the sport: the drivers and the local sponsors who make racing at PPMS possible. The Hometown Champions Fund, launching ahead of the 2025 racing season, creates an innovative way for sponsors to directly invest in the future of the speedway while supporting the drivers who bring the track to life every week.
Under this program, a total of 40 sponsorship spots are available, each priced at $500. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals can purchase multiple spots. All funds raised will directly support the newly established points championship fund. In addition to the individual sponsorship spots, a premium presenting sponsorship is also available. This exclusive opportunity allows a single sponsor to showcase their brand at the forefront of this exciting initiative, further cementing their role in supporting the local racing community.
PPMS guarantees a minimum payout of $7,500 at the conclusion of the 2025 season, which will be distributed across the four paid divisions of weekly racing and allocated to the top 5 drivers in each respective division. As funds grow, the championship fund may expand to include payouts for the top 10 drivers in each division, with a maximum fund cap of $20,000. This ensures that additional support directly benefits more drivers, creating greater opportunities and rewards for their dedication and performance throughout the season.
“Our goal is to foster a deeper connection between the speedway, our local communities and businesses, as well as the incredible drivers who choose to race with us,” said Blair Cress Jr, owner of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. “The Hometown Champions Fund represents our commitment to celebrating the spirit of grassroots racing. It’s about giving back to the drivers who thrill and energize our fans week after week, and the local sponsors whose support fuels the heart of this community.”
PPMS’s new sponsorship program is part of a larger effort to strengthen local motorsports. By directly channeling sponsorship funds into the drivers’ championship fund, the program ensures that the athletes who dedicate themselves to racing can focus on their passion while easing some of the financial strain. "I was very excited to hear about the reintroduction of a points fund program for the 2025 season," said Nick Kocuba, 2-time track champion and long-time competitor. "Back when I won my first championship in 2013, that paid exactly $0. So it's been a while since we've had a points fund payout at the end of the season. A program like this really goes a long way to reward all the girls and guys that come out every single week to compete and put on a show.
We've seen all the recent physical upgrades to the track and facility, but a program like this really speaks to the dedication that Tabby, Blair, as well as Tyler and the whole crew at PPMS have to not just the fans but also the racers."
Benefits for Sponsors
Sponsors participating in this program will enjoy a rewarding experience throughout the racing season, including opportunities to engage with the racing community and be part of the excitement at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. Each sponsor will be recognized in meaningful ways, including :
Prominent Branding: Logos or names displayed on select PPMS promotional materials and track signage.
Race Day Announcements: Public acknowledgment during weekly events, highlighting businesses who participate in the program.
Sponsorship Spotlights: Features on the PPMS website and social media channels, showcasing their commitment to local racing and community involvement.
End-of-Season Drawing
In an exciting twist, all participating sponsors will be entered into a drawing at the conclusion of the 2025 racing season. The drawing will take place during the prestigious Pittsburgher 100 Weekend, a marquee event that features the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, the nation’s premier dirt late model racing tour. The winning sponsor will receive a 2026 track sponsorship package valued at over $10,000, providing outstanding opportunities to promote their brand to one of the most loyal fan bases in all of sports.
