Big Weekend Ahead! Sprint Cars Saturday, Easter Eggs Sunday
IMPERIAL, PA — Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) is thrilled to announce an exhilarating lineup of events for the upcoming weekend, promising fans and families an unforgettable experience at Dirt's Monster Half Mile.
Saturday, April 12: Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 Sprint Cars & Action Event
The weekend kicks off on Saturday, April 12, with the highly anticipated return of the Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 Sprint Cars. This marks the tour's first appearance at PPMS since 2017, bringing together top-tier talent in the 305 Sprint Car division. Fans can expect high-speed thrills and fierce competition as drivers vie for victory on the renowned half-mile dirt track.
In addition to the 305 Sprint Cars, the Action Event will feature a full slate of racing divisions, including the Rohrich Parts Center / Chevrolet Performance RUSH Late Models, Pittsburgh Truck Center Penn Ohio Pro Stocks, The Auto House Hobby Stocks, and the Crawford Auto Repair Open Four Cylinders. The Kehm Oil Young Guns will have the opening weekend off.
Gates will open at 5:00 PM, with hot laps starting at 6:00 PM and racing action commencing at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available for purchase online at ppms.com or at the gate on race day.
Sunday, April 13: 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt
PPMS invites families to join us on Sunday, April 13, for the 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt. This free community event offers children the opportunity to search for hidden eggs filled with surprises, meet the Easter Bunny, and enjoy a day of festive activities. The event begins at 12:00 PM with the Easter Egg Hunts beginning at 1:00PM. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
"After the unfortunate cancellation of our 47th Season Opener due to inclement weather, we're eager to welcome fans back to the speedway for a weekend packed with racing excitement and family-friendly fun," said Tyler Harris, Operations Manager at PPMS. "The return of the Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 Sprint Cars and our annual Easter Egg Hunt exemplify our commitment to providing diverse entertainment for our community."
