Herb Scott Memorial Canceled; Season Opener Moves to April 25
Due to the impending weather forecast for Saturday, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway has made the decision to cancel the Herb Scott Memorial scheduled for Saturday, April 18. The event, which was set to feature the RUSH Late Model Touring Series, will not be rescheduled. With travel costs continuing to rise, an earlier-than-normal decision was made to give race teams and fans the opportunity to avoid unnecessary expenses and adjust their plans accordingly.
The next appearance by the touring series at PPMS will come on Saturday, July 25 for the annual Jook George Steel City Classic. One of the most anticipated events for RUSH, PPMS, its competitors, and fans alike, the event returns with a minimum $6,000-to-win purse and showcases many of the top drivers in the region.
The 48th season of racing at Dirt’s Monster Half Mile will now officially get underway on Saturday, April 25. Opening night will feature a full program of weekly racing, including RUSH Late Models, Penn Ohio Pro Stocks, Hobby Stocks, Four Cylinders, and Young Guns.
