Overnight Rain Washes Out She's In Free Night at PPMS
IMPERIAL, PA — Heavy overnight rains and saturated grounds have led to yet another early season cancelation at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. After evaluating conditions throughout the property Saturday morning, speedway officials determined that the amount of water absorbed overnight created conditions that would not allow for a practical or enjoyable event experience for fans, teams, and staff.
The latest weather setback continues a frustrating start to the 2026 season as speedway officials, teams, and fans continue to battle an unusually difficult spring stretch across the region.
Fans who purchased advanced tickets for tonight’s event have already had their refunds processed automatically.
The RUSH Sprint Car Series will now make its next appearance at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 13.
The speedway will now shift focus to Saturday, May 16 for Night of Champions, featuring all five weekly divisions of racing. The event will honor the 2025 track champions along with the top 10 in championship points from each respective division before another full night of racing at Dirt’s Monster Half Mile.
“We’re ready to get this season rolling in a big way and hopefully Mother Nature starts working with us soon,” said Operations Manager Tyler Harris. “We know fans, racers, and teams are anxious to get back to the speedway, and we appreciate everyone continuing to stick with us through a difficult start to the year.”
Additional event information and updates can be found at PPMS.com
and through the speedway’s official social media channels.
